When planning your trip to Cozumel there are a couple of different options to arrive here.
Cozumel offers its own International Airport and many commercial and charter airlines offer direct and connecting flights. When searching for your flight the Cozumel Airport Code is CZM. The Airport is located at Avenida 65 and Boulevard Aeropuerto, a short 5-minute drive to downtown San Miguel. Below you will find a helpful chart of Airlines serving the island.
Upon arrival you will find Airport transportation to your hotel or you may walk to the street to grab a taxi. Taxis are not permitted inside the federal airport zone and private companies hold the concession for transportation. These companies provide vans for optimized service and comfortable transport to your resort or hotel. If you want a quicker more economical option, the street to grab a taxi is about 200 feet in front of the airport exit.

With three different companies providing convenient service on regular schedules, you can be in Cozumel in 30 minutes departing from Playa del Carmen. There are ferry sailing times 7 days a week from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. You may purchase your tickets in advance or just right before you depart, since there is plenty of space on the boats you don’t need to worry about availability. It is recommended that you purchase a one way ticket from Playa and another one way ticket from Cozumel when you need to return; as there are three competing companies with varying schedules each day. The approximate cost per trip is $ 12 USD for adults and $ 8 USD per children (6-11 years).

Driving south towards Tulum from the Cancun International Airport, about 15 minutes from Playa del Carmen just after Xcaret Park, you will find on the left side of the road the main entrance to Punta Venado Pier. At the entrance you will see a signal that says: CALICA.
Right before you pass the access control gate, you will have to make a line with your car in order to purchase your tickets. We recommend to arrive at least 1 hour in advance prior the departure time of the ferry, since spaces are limited.
